Capital University junior Caitlin Prange was named Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week, the league announced Tuesday, March 26.

Prange, a Columbus native, finished in the top four in the 100-, 200- and 400-meter dashes on Saturday at Muskingum's Amy Adams Invitational in New Concord, Ohio. She placed second in the 200 with a time of 26.84, third in the 400 with a mark of 59.85 and fourth in the 100 in 12.87 seconds.

Prange's performance helped the women's team place fifth of 14 teams at the meet, a tune-up for this Friday's OAC South Split Meet at Muskingum.

Last week, the Crusader women were predicted to finish in a tie for fifth by the conference's coaches in an outdoor preseason poll. Prange helped the team finish fourth at last month's OAC Indoor Championships with All-OAC showings in the 400, 200 and 4x200-meter relay.

Currently, Prange's top times in the 100, 200 and 400 rank among the top 50 outdoor marks in the nation.

Each week, OAC coaches and sports information directors nominate student-athletes for each sport in season for the award.
