The Capital University men's basketball team made its season debut in the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional Rankings at No. 4, the NCAA announced Wednesday, Feb. 13.

The Crusaders (17-6 overall, 14-2 OAC) are slotted between third-ranked Thomas More (Ky.) and No. 5 St. Vincent (Pa.) with an in-region record of 17-4. Last week, Marietta was the Ohio Athletic Conference's lone representative in the regional rankings at No. 6. The Pioneers are unranked this week.

Wooster, which defeated Capital in the second round of the NCAA Tournament in 2012, is the Great Lakes' top-ranked team with an in-region record of 19-3. Ohio Wesleyan is No. 2 with a mark of 17-4 in regional games.

Calvin (Mich.) rounds out the rankings at No. 6.

The Crusaders host Muskingum tonight at 7 p.m. at the Capital Center. With a win, Capital clinches at least a share of the program's 12th OAC regular season title.

The Crusaders can clinch the championship outright and claim the No. 1 seed in the OAC Tournament with a victory tonight and a win on Saturday against Ohio Northern. The program will recognize the 2003 OAC championship team at halftime of that game as well as its five seniors prior to tip-off.
