Capital University senior men's basketball star Spencer Niekamp continued to rake in post-season honors Monday after being selected to the National Association of Basketball Coaches Division III All-Great Lakes District first team, the organization announced.

Niekamp, who was picked to the NABC's second team in 2012, has now been selected first team All-Ohio Athletic Conference, first team all-region by D3hoops.com and first team all-district. The forward from St. Henry, Ohio, was also named conference player of the year after leading the Crusaders to their second consecutive league regular season title.

Niekamp led Capital in points (15.3) and rebounds (5.5) per game and shot 48.8 percent from the floor, 47.2 percent from 3-point range and 81.0 percent from the free throw line. He finished his career as the program's No. 12 all-time scorer at 1,288 points.

Last week, Niekamp was selected in a D3hoops.com fan vote as one of two players to fill the final roster spots in the Reese's Division III College All-Star Game this Saturday in Salem, Va.

A two-time first team all-conference selection, Niekamp also recently garnered his second straight Academic All-OAC honor.

Niekamp and Marietta's J.J. Martin (first team) were the OAC's lone selections to either the first or second team. Ohio Wesleyan's Andy Winters was named Great Lakes Player of the Year, while the Bishops' Mike DeWitt shared Coach of the Year honors with Kevin VandeStreek of Calvin (Mich.).
